EARTHQUAKE

Our first dive to day at Punta Colorada was very different. Our mark is a round doughnut cut out of rock that hanges out about 20 feet at a 45 degree angel. Well the doughnut it at a 20 degree angel and about 10 feet now it broke off over night during the 5.1 earthquake we had. There is also a very nice swim through that was about a 10 feet over head it is now about a two foot over head.Puerto Dive Center

CLEAR AGAIN

The water is back to clear and blue again. After a 5 day spell of green water, it's nice to have 40- 50 feet vis again. The vis should just get better and better for the next few weeks. the swell is coming from the south west again, and that's what we look for to have clear water. We had a great time on the way to our dive spot today. We got to run with a pod of white spotted dolphins. They where bow ridding the boat all the way to Bochoco Reef. as we stopped they just keep going, until they where out of sight. Very Fun! On our dive it was time to catch some lobster. We came up with 5 not a bad catch. Time for lunchSafe and fun divingPuerto Dive Center

Diving With Mantas Puls

Today was great the got in the water after seeing about 200 baby Manta Rays Jumping on the surface. In the water the dive started out with 2 butiful green sea turtles. And about 10 minutes into the dive a black cloud came over the the top of us. It was the school of baby mantas. For a long 35 seconds they swam over head and then off into the distance. What a site. We then had a school of barracuda that circled us for 2 minutes. Ever feel like fish food? What a great dive already. To end the dive we spotted a big green mory eel. Come on down and do some diving. It does not get much better than that.

More whales

Even though we have only seen the whales once under water, seeing them almost every day on the surface on the way to our dive spots has been outstanding. I seen to never get board of see a 70 foot or 21 mt animal jump out of the water less than 15 feet or 5 mt away from the boat. Oh yes the diving has been very nice also. We saw a big school of barracuda that circled us for about 10 min very cool! The vis at punta calarada has been about 12 to 13 mt the last three days, and the water temp has gone back to normal about 80 f. It a great time of your to escape the clod of the north and come down and check out Puerto Escondido.
